Erin is an extremely kind, patient and skilled literacy teacher. Her program helped to improve both of my children's reading by roughly three grade levels each this past year. My daughter wishes she had done the lessons years ago so she would have been able to do her math questions at school. She is now devouring manga in much of her spare time! My son is now really enjoying reading both early chapter books and comics to me at bedtime as his improved fluency has in turn improved his comprehension of the story. Of course, he is also really happy to be able to play his video games independently now that he can read the game text! I have seen an improvement in both of their interests in school after completing Erin's program. Erin's program is one of the most important experiences my children have had in their education so far and I couldn't recommend her program more strongly to anyone who has a child who has fallen behind in literacy in the education system.

Our son was a student of Erin’s for approximately 2 years. When he started with Erin, he was in grade 3 and struggled with basic reading principles. He was considered to be at a senior kindergarten reading level.

Our son did not learn reading the way the school curriculum taught reading skills and he fell further behind. We had to do something, so we reached out to Erin.

Over a few classes, Erin understood his specific needs and developed a strategy to get the most out of the reading classes. Although our son did not always like going to the lessons, the gains he was making right from the beginning were tremendous.

Today, our son is a functional reader, with many thanks to Erin. Her teaching techniques were drastically different than the schools techniques and it was just the change our son needed to understand reading principles.

My son attended the Reading Ready program in grade five. He has a reading and language disability, making reading very challenging. I had hopes that this reading program would give him the ability to have basic reading skills as an adult. My expectations were more than reached. Today, with the help of this program, he reads novels and enjoys them. He has now read several series of books and has even reread the ones that he likes the most. Erin was kind and flexible. She always ensured that the material was something that my son was interested in to keep him engaged. This program was life-changing for my son and the outcome is so much more than I could have ever imagined.
